Professional Dolby Atmos environmental recordings from real locations — captured on a Zylia ZM-1 spherical array by a working broadcast audio professional. Not synthesized. Not designed. Just the world as it sounds.
Recorded locations
AM Atmospheres is a Toronto-based field recording and spatial audio project dedicated to capturing the world as it actually sounds — recorded on location, not synthesized or designed.
Behind the project is a working sound professional with nearly two decades in broadcast audio post-production, including credits on internationally distributed animated television series and Emmy-nominated productions. He recorded and delivered a commissioned 225-recording Dolby Atmos ambience library for Sound-Ideas, one of the world's largest professional sound effects publishers.
Every recording is captured using a Zylia ZM-1 — a 19-capsule spherical microphone array designed specifically for professional Dolby Atmos capture — and delivered in full spatial audio for immersive playback on Apple Music, YouTube, and beyond.
From alpine rivers in the Canton of Schwyz to the banks of the Seine in Paris, from the forests of Algonquin Park to the coast of Amalfi — each recording is made on location, with the same standards applied to broadcast television.
